Which Dahl book is that from? I like it.
"The Minpins," which I have not read....but after reading this jewel of a quote, have added it to my list. Have you read any of his other stuff?
I've read The Witches, The BFG, James and the Giant Peach, The Twits, and the Charlie books. :)
just a few...out of those, which ONE would you recommend...and perhaps, why?
I always love the BFG when I was a kid, but read every Roald Dahl book I could get my hands on. I feel you would adore Matilda, about an intelligent and mischievious young gal...sounds like someone I know! James and the Giant Peach is fantastic as well. OK, and, seriously, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is perfect! I also particularly like Danny Champion of the world. :)
